Greendale’s Annual Golf Day took place on the 26th September at Woodbury Park Golf Club. Participants included Greendale friends, colleagues, customers, suppliers and tenants, playing in individual Stableford and team competitions. Following their afternoon of golf, the participants retired to the clubhouse for food, drinks and the prize-giving ceremony.

Nine teams entered for the Julie Jones Memorial Trophy which was played in memory of Julie Jones, Greendale colleague and organiser of previous Greendale Golf Days, who sadly past away last year. Despite the weather forecast the competition was played in the dry and was keenly contested.

The winners of the Julie Jones Memorial Trophy 2019 were Refedd Ltd with a team score of 87. A Greendale Business Park tenant, their team consisted of Andrew Cross, Richard Stockdale-Kellet, Sean Mellors & Stewart Oades. In second place, only 2 points behind, were ‘Team Suez’ consisting of Danny Pearce, Luke Stevens and David Sleeman. In third were ‘Julies Dream Team’ comprising Pete & Sara Beaven (Julies sister & brother in law )  and Jan Morrison.

Luke Stevens won the longest drive for the men and Sue Hawkins the longest drive for the women and Danny Pearce won the nearest to the pin on the 18th hole.

Thank you to all those who participated this year – we look forward to welcoming you to our next Greendale event in 2020.
